The Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei has awarded the 2026 Feltrinelli Prize in Physics to Roberto Maiolino in recognition of his pioneering studies of the properties of galaxies and massive black holes over cosmic time.
The Feltrinelli Prize is among Italy’s most prestigious scientific honours and is presented by the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei for outstanding contributions across a range of disciplines.
