The Department of Physics - Cavendish Laboratory, is pleased to invite applications for two Lectureships (equivalent to Assistant Professorships). They are:
A Lectureship in Extragalactic Astrophysics for which the Department is looking for a talented early career scientist to promote and develop ambitious programmes aimed at investigating the earliest phases of galaxy formation as well as their evolution and transformation across the cosmic epochs, also in relation to the growth of supermassive black holes, especially by using data from current and forthcoming cutting-edge observing facilities. http://www.kicc.cam.ac.uk
A Lectureship in Experimental Astrophysics with a focus on Exoplanet and life in the Universe researches, which will be based in the Astrophysics group of the Department of Physics, located in the Battcock Centre for Experimental Astrophysics, with access to laboratory space in the Cavendish Laboratory (Department of Physics). The appointment will strengthen the group’s existing international reputation on detection and characterization of exoplanets in the new direction of planetology and Life in the Universe. https://exoplanets.phy.cam.ac.uk.
